Public Hearing Held in Tashkent on the Project to Enhance the Potential of the Chemical Technologies Center in Uzbekistan

Today, a public hearing took place in Tashkent as part of the implementation of the project "Enhancing the Potential of the Chemical Technologies Center in Uzbekistan", which is being carried out in collaboration with Uzkimyosanoat JSC and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

The event gathered representatives from sectoral enterprises, government agencies, scientific and research institutions, as well as international organizations and the private sector. During the discussions, the importance of this project for the transformation of the country's chemical industry and the enhancement of its scientific and technological potential was emphasized.

The main goals of the project are as follows:

  • Creation of over 200 new jobs;

  • Installation of state-of-the-art technological equipment;

  • Transfer of international technologies and increasing Uzbekistan's export potential.

Particular attention was given to the training of highly qualified specialists. As part of the project, it is planned to send 10 doctoral students and 12 master’s students to study in the Republic of Korea to enhance their qualifications. Currently, 7 doctoral students and 11 master's students from Uzbekistan are studying at higher education institutions in Korea.

Participants of the event highly appreciated the cooperation with KOICA and KRICT, noting that this project will create significant opportunities not only in the fields of science and production but also for improving the investment climate, transferring technologies, and training qualified personnel.
